Through the Mexican Embassy in the United Kingdom, this exhibition presents the work of emerging Mexican Architects. Each of the invited guests was given a packaging box that must also serve as the support and base of the exhibited piece itself. The box will also serve as a container to transport the very same exhibition piece.
We made a piece that had a double purpose: first to inform about how our country produces energy, and second, to express our view of energy consumption in the piece itself. When creating this piece we also wanted to show our approach to sustainability through four projects we design at the studio.
The piece designed to become a shelf at the RIBA offices, is also an informative device that reflects with graphics simulating a Mexican “Sarape” (quilt) the way we manage energy production in our country.
