The concept of the project is an exterior shelter.
The house is contained by a series of walls that protect the residential spaces from the outside. These walls turn into the service volume and open gradually towards the living spaces. Both, the upper and lower spaces then open up to a garden which is divided in two sections: an empty platform covered with grass and trees. The garden covers and hides the garage and is elevated on the south towards the main bedroom on the upper level.
The house faces straight to the east and is protected at the west by the service block. On the upper level a skylight divides the residential spaces from the service areas and allows the entrance of light along the bedrooms and the TV room. The living room gets sunlight during the afternoons through a fern patio.
The house is located on the westside of the plot avoiding a direct view of the neighboring houses and aims its views to the garden and trees. The service block serves as a protection to the exterior.
