Remodeling project of the façade, access and lobby of the Aeroméxico building, located on Paseo de la Reforma #445, in Mexico City.
Basically the proposal consisted of a new design for the building’s entrance. A somber and fragmented space was studied, and with new materials and illumination it was turned into a unique welcoming space for the occupants. The incorporation of a vegetation slope on the right hand side of the access integrated and composed the whole pathway increasing illumination and creating a living space that did not exist before: a new green area that would work as the receiving entrance space. The interior design of the ceiling helped generate indirect lighting within the waiting area of the elevators. The exterior design included the emblematic logo on the building’s façade. Suspended over the constructed volume, the logo seemed to be floating or flying around the construction.
The simple and functional design responded to the user’s necessities.
