Project for the access and main hall remodelation of a building located on Palmas #800 in Mexico City.
The premise of the client was based on the state of the building at that moment; an outdated style which had to be renewed into a contemporary site.
The basic remodelation concept proposed a higher priority to the main access to the building itself. The entrance top was to be replaced with a new floating one to give a sense of lightness and more illumination to the area. Privacy of this space was to be kept by a vegetation slope wall.
On the access level the existing crystal was to be replaced with light shaded glass with thermal and solar control. The access was to be flanked by two lateral water mirrors that blended with the vegetation and had illumination of their own.
The access stairway was to be liberated so as to generate more space, and the current rooms were replaced with two platforms that would function as a waiting area for automobiles. This space culminated with an internal reception counter in a cube of light in the center of the lobby.
